Consumed by Agonizing Anxiety
What makes you feel more drained than overthinking something that might or might not happen?
Overthinking consumes your energy a lot. It starts playing with all possibilities questions within your head and leaves you hanging without giving you any closure.
To be specific, overthinking in a relationship.
I’ve been cheated a lot of times. And I realized I grew up with the fear of being cheated. None of those experiences start with a bad start; it always brings many hopes and expectations.
I’ve learned the emotional layer; growing up in this situation made me realize there are some unmet needs — security feelings. I constantly trying to find reassurance to protect myself from the feeling of being cheated.
I am fully aware I tend to get jealous easily and be overprotective, but none of those things I would like to do. It is like my coping mechanism.
It’s not the fear of being cheated on but the feelings of disappointment and anger that I avoid.
And I realized that being cheated or betrayed is something we can’t control, but someone who loves you wouldn’t put themselves in a situation to lose you.
